Switching from Rebrandly to Linkly
Rebrandly is a link management platform. If you're looking to move your links from Rebrandly to Linkly, you can do so by exporting your links from Rebrandly as a CSV file and then importing them into Linkly.
How to Import Links from Rebrandly
Log in to Rebrandly.
Open the Workspaces menu and click on the workspace you want to export.
Request a CSV export of your links.
The CSV will be emailed to the workspace owner. This is a paid feature and may not be available on all Rebrandly plans.
Open the CSV file you receive by email.
Log in to Linkly.
Go to Links and click Import.
Upload the CSV file and map the columns to the correct fields.
Click Import to complete the process.

Things to Know When Switching from Rebrandly
- Your existing Rebrandly short links will continue to work on Rebrandly. Linkly will create new short links for each imported destination URL.
- Custom domains you own: If you registered your own domain and pointed it at Rebrandly, you can update your DNS to point it at Linkly instead. Contact us and we'll help with the switchover.
- Rebrandly's complimentary domain: If Rebrandly provided a free domain as part of your plan, that domain may be locked if you downgrade. Links on locked domains continue to redirect, but you won't be able to edit them or create new links on that domain.
- Downgrading on Rebrandly: When you downgrade, Rebrandly uses a "last-in, first-locked" approach — your most recently created resources (domains, links) are locked first. Locked links continue to redirect and track clicks, but become read-only. You can't modify locked links or create new ones on locked domains.
- CSV export is a premium feature on Rebrandly. If you're on the free plan, you may need to use the Rebrandly API to export your links instead. Contact us if you need help with this.
- We recommend testing a small batch of links first to make sure everything looks right before importing the full set.
Rebrandly Import FAQs
Will my existing Rebrandly links stop working?
No. Your existing Rebrandly short links will continue to work as long as your Rebrandly account is active and the domain is not locked. When you import into Linkly, new short links are created pointing to the same destinations.
Can I move my custom domain from Rebrandly to Linkly?
If you own the domain and registered it yourself, yes — just update your DNS records to point to Linkly. If your domain was provided by Rebrandly as part of your plan, it may be locked if you downgrade. In that case, you'll need to register a new domain or use one you already own.
What happens if I downgrade my Rebrandly plan?
Rebrandly locks your most recently created resources first when you downgrade, including domains and links. Locked links continue to redirect and track clicks, but become read-only — you can't edit them or create new ones on locked domains. Your older links and domains remain fully active up to the limits of your new plan.
How many links can I import?
There's no hard limit. You can upload a CSV file of any size. If you have a very large number of links and need assistance, contact us and we'll help manage the migration.
